There's a tornado warning: you're the one who runs out to your front porch, scanning the skies to see if you can spot it. Tornado Week is a family movie night popcorn-worthy event in your household. C'mon admit it! You're fascinated with extreme weather. Us too! Feed your voracious appetite for Extreme Storm and Tornado Stories Sunday at 7pm as Prairie Croissant Cafe welcomes Fire Fighter, Photographer and Storm Chaser extraordinaire Laura Heiden for a riveting evening of tornado tales and storm chasing stories. What does the air feel like just before you spot a twister? Laura knows! Can you get struck by lightening and survive? Not only does Laura know, Laura EXPERIENCED it. It's an evening you don't want to miss. Bring the kids, bring your neighbors and come to the Prairie Croissant Cafe tonight. We'll open our doors back up at 7pm for dinner, dessert, organic ice cream and riveting evening of Storm Stories!

Make it a summer tradition! Come Saturday morning for a Fair Trade Organic coffee and a Prairie Croissant breakfast sandwich then do your weekly shopping at the Prairie Crossing Farmer's Market with Sandhill Organics, a local Grayslake organic farm. Buy local organic, farm-fresh eggs from Prairie Crossing Learning Farm and visit Prairie Croissant for your organic milk, organic sugar, fresh-baked artisan baguette, and more. Relax al fresco on our dining patio with live music, summer sunshine and soak up the generally cool summer vibe of Station Square.

The cafe was great and will be missed, thank you to your commitment on quality and organic coffee and treats.
You are ahead of the times and as consumers become more aware and passionate and committed to buying these products I expect trends to continue to grow in this area.
The Starbucks of the world has the resources to buy these products and have tried to dip their toe in the pool of this direction.... but you guys have really had a total commitment and were a personal experience in the process which always makes buying a coffee, enjoying conversation or getting lunch more rewarding and fun.
Thank you again for your investment and commmitment- You will be missed.

Not only have we supported the PC in every way possible, we want to see a cafe going in that space -- and would support it as well. I scheduled nearly all of my business lunches and meetings there and would continue to do so under new ownership. We will miss Scott, Jacque and John a lot, but I think the community would support it if it booked more events, had a kid-friendly menu (mac and cheese, please) and some cheap sandwiches and other goodies. Better acoustics would also be welcome. Keep on, keepin' on!
